The human hive story would happen again. That migratory wave, with its epicentre in Norway, kept spreading through other regions. Among them, was the volcanic and cold Iceland. As a result, in the first half of the 10th century, the useable lands began to be not enough to sustain the whole settlement. As time passed, the crisis worsened. In order to get away from the phantom of famine and overcrowding, the people had to look up to the western seas.

La historia de los enjambres humanos se repetiría nuevamente. Aquella onda migratoria, cuyo epicentro estaba en Noruega, continuaba esparciéndose hacia otras regiones, entre las cuales se encontraba la volcánica y fría Islandia. A raíz de eso, antes de la mitad del Siglo X, los terrenos aprovechables de esa isla, comenzaban a ser insuficientes para sostener su población. Con el paso del tiempo, la crisis no hacía más que agravarse. Para escapar del fantasma del hambre y el hacinamiento, sus pobladores deberían volver la mirada hacia los mares del oeste.
