The French and Indian War (part 1).

On a cold day of February, in the Year of the Lord of 1763, there was a meeting near to Paris, at the fancy halls of Versailles. A group of representatives had attended, to sign a treaty for a peace agreement, between the most powerful nations of those days. As outrageous as it may seem in the present, they were sharing out the territories of distant countries... as if were the spoils of war. They saw those lands as their properties, all the legal rights included. A few days later, they signed another treaty. Those agreements meant the end of a great confrontation, considered by many, as the First World War. It was the Seven Years War.

En un frío día de febrero, en el año del Señor de 1763, se reunían en Versalles, en las afueras de París, los representantes de algunos de los países que para entonces eran considerados como grandes potencias mundiales. El motivo de esa reunión, era la firma de un Tratado para un acuerdo de paz. Por escandaloso que hoy pueda parecer, allí se repartían y distribuían los territorios de países lejanos, como si se tratara de un botín de guerra, como propiedades a las que tenían el más obvio derecho. Pocos días más tarde, se firmaría otro tratado, ambos acuerdos ponían fin a una confrontación que ha sido considerada por algunos, como la primera guerra mundial, la llamada Guerra de los Siete Años.
